Our Story

Cornerstone Ranch began as a dream - a dream to one day impact the world by investing in the lives of youth.

In 1997, four men felt compelled by God to find a place where young people could have the opportunity to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and have an opportunity to experience the outdoors that so many take for granted. Since 1997, the vision has not changed, but has enlarged.

In 2001, the Lord began to move and to make an opportunity for the dream to become a reality. A "door" was opened on a particular piece of land, owned by the DuPont Corporation, which would be the ideal place for the ministry. The former DuPont powder plant sat on approximately 1,200 acres of land near Gardendale, Alabama. For decades, companies and individuals had tried unsuccessfully to purchase the land from DuPont for a variety of different developments. For that reason, most everyone was skeptical about pursuing this particular piece of land…little did they know that God had His own plan for the property.

The skepticism was unable to stop the plan and purpose of God for Cornerstone Ranch. Because of God's grace and faithfulness, the dream became a reality in 2008. The ministry was blessed with the full 1,200 acres of land just ten minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama.

What We Do

At Cornerstone Ranch we strive to provide a safe and fun place for youth to grow closer to Christ. During the summer months we have six weeks of Day Camps for Elementary and Middle School kids. On the weekends we provide a unique camp experience for our ministry partners at no cost. We have partnered with The Aspire Movement and Common Thread Network in order to minister to youth who may not have an opportunity to have a camp experience.
